Rajan Kadakia MD

RAJAN KADAKIA, MD

Dr.Kadakia is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr.Kadakia was raised in Houston, Texas. After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago in both the biological sciences and the history of medicine, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. Following a 3-year residency in Internal Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr.Kadakia completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the prestigious Texas Heart Institute/St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital; where he served as chief interventional fellow. Dr,Kadakia has been in practice serving the Southeast Houston community since 2008.He has been involved in clinical and basic science research since college and has published several articles in the field of cardiology and immunology.

Dr.Kadakia specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr.Kadakia’s expertise is in the trans-radial approach for coronary and peripheral interventions. The benefits of trans-radial catheterization over the traditional femoral approach include safety, lower rate of bleeding complications as well as earlier ambulation and recovery.

Nisheeth Goel MD

NISHEETH GOEL, MD

Dr. Goel is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Goel was raised in Jackson, MS. He completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his medical degree from University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS. He, then, completed his internal medicine training at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota; where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. He then completed his general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Texas Heart Institute and served as the chief interventional fellow.He has been involved in clinical research and made presentations at several national meetings and published articles in the field of cardiology.

Dr. Goel specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. His other interests include valvular heart disease, structural heart disease, and preventative cardiology.

Manu Pillai MD

MANU PILLAI, MD

Dr. Pillai is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.

Dr. Pillai was raised in Houston, Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Brooklyn City College in New York. He received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. Following a 3 year residency at the Baylor College of Medicine, he completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine. He then served as Chief Interventional Cardiology Fellow while completing an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine.He has been involved in clinical research and has published articles in the field of cardiology.

Dr. Pillai has been voted as one of the best doctors in Dallas in D Magazine. As a board certified interventional cardiologist he specializes in both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr. Pillai offers his patients cardiac catheterization through the wrist, or a radial approach, in order to improve patient safety and comfort.

Marlos Fernandes MD

MARLOS FERNANDES, MD

Dr. Fernandes is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography.

Dr. Fernandes was raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He received his medical degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1996. At the same institution he did 5 years of fellowship training in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.In 2005 Dr. Fernandes moved to Houston to join the Stem Cell Center at the Texas Heart Institute as a research fellow and latter became a Research Scientist.Dr. Fernandes completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas at Houston, later followed by his Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at The Texas Heart Institute – culminating over 20 years of dedicated medical training.He has several peer reviewed publications in various prestigious medical journals in the area of Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Fernandes performs complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, including abdominal aortic aneurysm stenting and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR). He is specialized in radial and ultrasound guided vascular access to maximize patient safety.

Arvin Bansal MD

ARVIN BANSAL, MD

Dr.Bansal was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He then moved to San Antonio where he completed a degree in Economics from Trinity University followed by his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After doing a three year Internal Medicine residency at Rush University in Chicago, he decided to move back to Houston where he completed a three year fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Health Science at Houston in the Texas Medical Center. He primarily trained at memorial Hermann in the Medical center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and LBJ County Hospital.

Dr.Bansal’s expertise in general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, heart failure, cardio-oncology, and preventative cardiology.
